Southend Hospital Charitable Foundation’s latest appeal:
The Spotlight Radiotherapy Appeal aims to raise £600,000 to fund ultra-precise, state-of-the-art radiotherapy positioning devices which provide set-up and motion management during radiotherapy.
The Surface Guided Radiation Therapy (SGRT) equipment will be available to patients at the Mid and South Essex Cancer centre, Southend Hospital.
It is hoped that by 2025, all patients receiving radiotherapy across mid and south Essex will have access to safer, less invasive, and more precise treatment.
Successful completion of the appeal will ensure that patients undergoing radiotherapy treatment receive the best possible experience in terms of comfort, speed and accuracy.
