Captain Tom 100

“Tomorrow will be a good day”

Celebrate the spirit and legacy of Captain Sir Tom Moore by taking part in the Captain Tom 100 fundraising challenge for Mid and South Essex Hospitals Charity on Friday 30th April – Monday 3rd May 2021.

Friday 30th April 2021 would have been Captain Sir Tom Moore’s 101st birthday and the one-year anniversary of the extraordinary celebrations following the conclusion of his famous 100 laps of his garden that raised an incredible £38.9 million for the NHS. In recognition of this, the Captain Tom 100 has been created as an event for all to celebrate Captain Tom’s generosity of spirit, the hope and joy he brought to millions, and his sense of fun!

We are proud to be supporting the Captain Tom 100 fundraising challenge and we are inviting you, our brilliant supporters, to take on a challenge around the number 100 anytime and anywhere over what would have been Captain Tom’s 101st birthday weekend. This is a challenge for all ages and abilities to get involved with and raise money for Mid and South Essex Hospitals Charity. It is your chance to make a big difference!

All you need to do is dream up your Captain Tom 100 challenge…if you like baking, why not bake 100 cakes; if you like football, try 100 keepy-uppies; if you like running, run for 100 minutes or if you like painting, paint 100 pictures. The possibilities are endless, so get creative and have some fun fundraising.

Once you’ve got your challenge organised, get fundraising and donating with our dedicated Just Giving Page – Captain Tom 100 ( and share your 100 on social media, using #CaptainTom100 and don’t forget to tag us in @MSEHospCharity.
