Helena Woolley Research Suite – Southend Hospital
Helena left a generous gift in her will that helped create our first specialist cancer research facility. Her legacy means that local patients now have access to life-saving clinical trials right here in Essex.
Inherited Cardiac Nurse Pilot – Basildon Hospital
A legacy gift funded a specialist nurse role, providing care for families with genetic heart conditions. This pilot helped detect issues early and secure future NHS funding for ongoing care.
