Donation to Broomfield’s Neonatal Unit provides greater choice to new mums

A donation of six hospital grade breast pumps are helping new mums and their babies at Broomfield Hospital.

The donation made by voluntary group Friends at Broomfield mean that mums with babies staying on the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) can express milk for feeding.

Of the six pumps, four are portable; these can be loaned out for use at home while the baby stays in the care of the NICU team. The pumps provide parents a solution to the juggle of being able to express milk whilst also making trips home to catch-up on sleep and/or spend time with other children.

The additional pumps put both mum and baby first, thank you Friends at Broomfield.
