AyrtonFest3: A Birthday celebration with a huge slice of generosity
A donation of £3,770 to the Southend Hospital Charitable Foundation has provided a huge boost to the Spotlight Radiotherapy Appeal.
In celebration of his 57th birthday in April, Nick Robins from Thorpe Bay hosted his third celebratory music festival AyrtonFest. Nick’s generosity marks a significant contribution towards the appeal’s ambitious goal of £600,000, aimed at revolutionising radiotherapy delivery at Southend Hospital. Completion of the appeal will benefit thousands of cancer patients across mid and south Essex.
Nick’s donation was generated through the proceeds from ticket sales and kind cash donations received during the festival.
Kayley Donovan, Fundraising Manager said: “Nick’s unwavering commitment to supporting our local community highlights how coming together for a common cause will achieve a brighter future in our hospitals’ vision for ongoing improvements to cancer care. On behalf of the charity and Southend Radiotherapy team, thank you.”
