A Night of jazz and generosity raises over £900 for the Spotlight Appeal

The Bardswell Club in Brentwood was alive with the sound of jazz on Tuesday 30 April. The event organised by ardent supporter and saxophonist Dr Eric Watts and talented musician Julia Austin-Brenes, raised an impressive £917 to support the Spotlight Radiotherapy Appeal. The appeal has so far raised £390,000 of its £600,000 aim to dramatically transform the experience of patients undergoing cancer treatment in mid and south Essex.

The evening featured toe-tapping performances by renowned jazz bands Sofrito, The Jam Factory and guest vocalist Lily Dior. Community Fundraising Manager, Kayley Donovan, said: “We are thrilled with the support shown by the local community and extend our thanks to the organisers, performers, and attendees who made this a night to remember.”
