Family’s annual golf day raises £15,455 for Broomfield’s Blossom Suite in memory of baby Havana

A local family has raised an incredible £15,455 for the Blossom Suite at Broomfield Hospital, continuing their commitment to supporting bereaved parents in memory of their own daughter, Havana.

Amie and Aaron Stephens, alongside their company DSSL, hosted their annual charity golf day with the support of friends, family, colleagues and local businesses. This year’s event was made even more special as the couple were joined by their baby son, who helped honour his sister’s memory alongside the family.

Havana was born in September 2023 at 37 weeks and, following their devastating loss, Amie and Aaron spent precious time with their daughter in the Blossom Suite, Broomfield Hospital’s dedicated baby bereavement facility. The specialist team supported the family throughout their stay, helping them create lasting memories during an unimaginably difficult time.

The annual golf day was established to celebrate Havana’s life while raising funds to ensure other families receive the same compassionate care and support.

Amie said: “The support we received from the Blossom Suite team during the darkest time of our lives is something we will never forget. They gave us the opportunity to spend precious time with Havana and create memories that we will treasure forever”.

The family’s most recent donation will help to continue the enhancements in support, equipment and memory making items available through the Blossom Suite. Every penny will benefit families experiencing the heartbreak of baby loss and helping the specialist bereavement team continue providing the most compassionate of care.

Through their continued fundraising efforts, Havana’s memory lives on, bringing comfort, support and hope to countless families facing the unimaginable loss of a baby.
