£5,000 golf club donation benefits Southend Hospital’s Neonatal unit

A donation of £5,000 has been made by the ladies’ section of Thorpe Hall Golf Club to benefit Southend Hospital’s Neonatal Unit.

Johanna Wilson, the Ladies Captain for 2023 and fellow committee member Mandy Bridge, chose to support the unit by hosting a wide range of fundraising activities.

Kayley Donovan, Community Fundraising Manager for Mid and South Essex Hospitals Charity said “We are so grateful for the support and generosity of the ladies’ group – they really have gone the extra-mile in their fundraising.

“The club’s generous donation will benefit families of poorly babies by funding two recliner chairs and will also contribute to a larger artwork project which is currently in motion.”
