Register your interest for the London Marathon 2026 – #TeamMSE charity places now available

Ready to take on one of the biggest challenges the UK has to offer? We are excited to share that we have secured 1, 2, 3, FOUR gold bond charity places for the TCS London Marathon 2026.

Taking place on Sunday 26 April – we are beyond delighted to be able to give you the opportunity to run one of the world’s most exciting and iconic races. Whether you’re a member of staff wanting to raise funds for your own area, a patient that’s full of gratitude for amazing care, running in memory of a loved one, or just need a big challenge – this is the challenge for you.

By applying for a charity place, you’ll be making to make every mile count by raising funds for an area of your choice at one of our Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust Hospitals.

Registration fee: £200

First fundraising target due date (50% of funds): Friday 27 February 2026

Overall fundraising target: £2,000

Minimum age: 18

Should you not be offered one of our four charity places, there is of course the option to fundraise using a ballot place, should you secure one. The general ballot will open on Friday 25 April 2025 and close on Friday 2 May 2025.

If you’re lucky enough to get a spot through the general London Marathon ballot, you’ll still receive the same support from us as those that secure a charity place. Please let us know if you do decide to fundraise for one of our hospitals with a ballot place, we’ll do everything we can to be with you at every step when support is needed.
