NHS Go Nuclear
July 11 @ 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm£50
Raising money for Mid & South Essex Hospital Charity, helping to enhance the patient experience across our trust, the #NHSGONUCLEAR 5k mud run is back for a second year.
5k of outrageous obstacles, mountains of mud, zinging zip wires, and the world’s only 20ft deathslide into a lake!
The event, held at Nuclear Races in Kelvedon Hatch, was inspired by personal trainer and Nuclear Races employee Laura Roberts whose son Oscar was treated for leukaemia at Broomfield Hospital.
“Oscar was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia in 2014 and Broomfield was our shared care hospital with Great Ormond Street. They were brilliant. He finished chemo two years ago but we’re still under Broomfield and go back every six months. I like to raise money for them because it’s a really good hospital.”
If like Laura you would like to say thank you to your local hospital for care received by yourself or a loved one, register for the event today by clicking here.
Raising funds for your chosen cause
You can choose where you would like your money to go, each department/ward at the three hospitals has its own fund, so whether it’s the cancer care unit at Southend, Polly Parrott appeal at Basildon or the burns department at Broomfield, all donations are donor lead.
The best way to raise funds for your chosen charity is via Just Giving
